13 families went head to head on Saturday 16th November at Sandford Cricket Club to lift the coveted trophy for Skittling Champions of The Bartons 2002.
Skittling commenced at 6.30pm and families took turns to demonstrate their skills, amongst much heckling. The many children were keen to replace the fallen skittles (except after my goes).
There was never a quiet moment with prizes to be won on the Pub Quiz and also the raffle (the wife of the event organiser wishes to deny claims that she had any inside information on her quiz winning performance!)
Exceptional thanks go to the two ladies whose cookery expertise provided a fantastic feast; Gammon, Pineapple, Minted Peas and French-Fries for the adults and Hot Dogs, Fries and Beans for the children. This was followed by a variety of puddings provided by the executive committee.
Thanks also to the Sandford Cricket Club who ensured plenty of liquid refreshment and kept the party atmosphere building.
And finally who were the champions – well the Chisnell family of course.
